Express your interest to audition for our 2024 Pantomimes!

You can now express your interest to audition in either or both of our Pantomimes online now. This form will close in May 2024 or when we have had more expressions than what we can accommodate, whichever comes first.

If successful at audition, you will be offered a role in our production. Each production has it's own fees that cast members must contribute to - this covers costs such as rehearsal venues, insurance, contribution towards costumes etc. Fees have not yet been finalised for 2024, however in 2023 - the fee was £60 per person. You will be able to pay in one go, or spread the cost over 3 monthly payments. We also were able to offer siblings and those in both productions a 50% discount on their second fee. More information will be available nearer the audition time.

Who we are seeking...

Dancers

We are actively seeking dancers aged 6-106 to be a part of either of our Pantomimes. Dancers need to be 18+ to audition for our adult-only Pantomime. You do not need to have experience. During your audition, you will be shown some Choreography and you will need to demonstrate how quick you can pick Choreography, movement and timing up.

Child Actors

Whether you have experience or not, we actively encourage children aged 10-15 to audition to be a part of our Child Principals for Rumpelstiltskin. There are a number of smaller and larger roles for children to perform in the script. We do expect Children Principals to practice their lines, acting, dancing and singing at home in between rehearsals so you can be as prepared for the show as you can be! Come and give it a try at our Big Audition Weekend 2024!

Principals

We have a large number of Principal acting roles available for both our family and adult Pantomimes. Whether this be your first time treading the boards or you have been doing it for years - come and audition and show us what you can do. Pantomimes have many roles - including Principal Boys and Girls, Dames, silly comic characters, evil characters to name a few - there truly is something for everyone. Singing is desirable (even if your confidence only allows you to sing during group numbers).

The Audition Process - (5th or 7th July 2024 - SAVE THE DATES!)

Register yourself online to receive an audition pack when they become available in May 2024. The audition pack will include all the final details you may want to know about the society, rehearsals and about the character/role you want to audition for. Be sure to leave yourself a few hours to really study the pack and put lots of effort into your audition.

Inside the audition pack, there will be a link to book your slot. There will be individual slots for acting roles and group slots for dancing roles.

Please Note: We do not charge for Audition slots - however, if you have ever no-showed for your audition at one of our previous productions - you will be invoiced a refundable deposit that you must pay prior to audition day. This will be refunded to you in full after your audition.

Inside the audition pack will be some useful tips and advice on how to prep for your audition. Put 110% effort into your moment to shine.

Actors auditioning for Adult Pantomime will have an improvisation element to include in their audition.

All actors will have a direction element to include in their audition.

Dancers will be shown Choreography and be asked to learn it during their audition.

All auditionees will be asked to sing as a part of their audition - more information will be inside the pack.
